Adding extra scenes

When looking back on my trailer editing so far I wanted more variery in shots therefore I planned to added a few more shots which convey that the anti-hero is being watched by someone. Here I drew up another storyboard which illustrates the shots I plan to film.

Screen shot 2013-03-19 at 11.31.07

This low shot shows the anti-hero bending down to tie his shoe laces, the low shot represents that someone is hiding and conveys the idea that he is being watched. This challenges audience expectation as this character is infact the killer however the camera puts him into a position that represents him as being vunerable.

This is a high shot which again represents someone watching the anti-hero, this shot again makes this character look vunerbale which also makes the audience assume he is a victim.

Here the victim is represented in a mid shot whereby she is talking to her mum on the phone, she says “Mum i’ll be fine okay, if it makes you happy i’ll talk the car. Okay I’ll be right back” This shot foreshadows that something bad is going to happen to this character do to the line, “I’ll be right back” this is common convention used in horror films. The audience are familiar with this convention which prepares them for her death however the twsit comes when the anti-hero is revealed as the killer.

Screen shot 2013-03-19 at 11.33.15

Here the victim is seen leaving the house with her laptop in her hands, this is created through a mid shot which creates realism for the audience.

Screen shot 2013-03-19 at 11.35.23

This shot shows the girl sat in her car about to drive off, for an audience who are familiar with the codes and conventions of horror this over the shoulder shot will foreshadow her death which is a reference from the urban myth ‘Killer in the back seat’.
